We work alongside contracted security companies and in-house security teams, providing the aerial platform, pilots, and equipment. The security interpretation, response coordination, and guard deployment remain the responsibility of the security manager or contracted security provider. This structure keeps the arrangement compliant with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) requirements that govern security companies in South Africa.
Engagements are structured as contracted service arrangements. The scope patrol frequency, response trigger protocol, coverage area, reporting requirements, and duration is agreed upfront. We then deploy on the agreed schedule or on call as required. For mine sites and industrial facilities, we integrate with your existing security management structure and incident reporting system. Drone footage recorded during Look Up Pro operations includes GPS metadata, timestamps, and pilot credentials elements that support admissibility. However, the legal admissibility of any specific footage in South African court proceedings depends on the circumstances of the recording, chain of custody, and the requirements of the relevant proceeding. We maintain clean documentation of all flight records and can produce an evidence package in a structured format. Yes. Thermal imaging is most effective at night and in cold conditions the temperature contrast between warm bodies and the cooler background environment increases detection sensitivity. Night operations are conducted under SACAA regulations for night flight. The DJI Matrice and Mavic 3T platforms we use for security work are rated for low-temperature operation and perform well in South African winter night conditions. Cold and dark are when the thermal sensor performs at its best - this is not a limitation, it is an operational advantage.
